The Odyssey Foundation, created by Mark and Virginia Martino in February 2005 is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3), 509 (a)(1) under the Congressional District Programs, sharing its federal tax status: Tax Identification Number 65-0970090.
The purpose of forming The Odyssey Foundation is to build a scholarship program that will assist in sustaining various arts: the visual arts, the culinary arts and the International Wine Guild. Its first focus is with the culinary arts due to the loyal support and guidance from the Las Vegas Odyssey participating chefs and restaurants.
The art of culinary excellence is the cornerstone of The Odyssey Lifestyle. That being said, the future to uphold the standard is found in the institution of education for the creation of future masters.
Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Las Vegas features a world-class training center and represents a union of the finest in European and North American culinary arts training programs available today.
"The Odyssey Foundation Scholarship Fund plays an important role with Le Cordon Bleu, Las Vegas in allowing students most in need to pursue their dream of becoming an executive chef,” states Jennifer White, past president of the College of Culinary Arts. “Scholarship money allows students to concentrate on learning and honing their culinary skills because it absorbs some of the financial burdens that come with being a full-time student."
